Traditional Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has a history of more than two thousand years. TCM is the principle form of medical care available to a large portion of the world's population. TCM treatment modalities include Chinese Herbal Medicine, Acupuncture, Medical Qigong, Tuina (Chinese therapeutic Massage), Moxibustion, Cupping, Food Therapy, Life-style medical advice and therapeutic exercises such as Health Qigong and Taiji (Taichi).
TCM is both preventative and curative. It serves to strengthen the person's overall health and well-being that they do not get sick in the first place, or if they do, to quickly regain their health. From its very beginning, TCM has been used to promote health and has not been restricted to the treatment of symptoms or disease.

According to the Irish College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ICTCM),
TCM is suitable for all ages of client, from the tiny infant to the very old.

TCM in general, including Acupuncture, Moxibustion and Cupping can be combined with, or used alongside, other medical therapies and disciplines, such as western medicine.
